The Prince by Machiavelli

NPR – February 27, 2015

While the average size of new houses gets bigger every year in the U.S., some people are trying to do more with less. A lot less. Tiny houses and micro apartments are now a niche trend in the housing market.

I wouldn’t say that the rooms were small,

“The Prince,” Chapter 32, by Nicolo Machiavelli – 1532

Every ruler has much to fear
From those who’d whisper in his ear
Those words they THINK he wants to hear.

Demand the truth – let this be known
To those who would approach the throne
To seek an audience alone.

Listen fully – believe but half
To separate the wheat from chaff
Then YOU decide – without your staff.
